E-Mini S&P

After the biggest one hour run-up since early September, the markets have given everything back and a little more in o/n futures trading.

E-Mini S&P

Has the pullback run its course?

It seems any time the tekkies find reasons to publish their bearish analysis, the charts do the opposite (perhaps because that is what algorythm trading bots were programmed to do?).

I am non-committal, though - admittedly - still somewhat on the bullish side.

TSX

The TSX hovered around the median line for a few days and broke down earlier in the week. As is the case in this "new" generic stock market, pretty much everything else went along for the ride. Technically, we should make our way down to the lower line, but it doesn't necessarily have to happen right away. Nevertheless, the TSX is in pullback mode and caution is the watchword for the time being.

E-Mini S&P

The overnight futures have traded in a very tight range and direction is up in the air at this stage.

I have 1210.25 as a pinpoint, and the futures have been battling in and around this number throughout the night. A decisive breach should send the ES down to 1204. There is also another lower target, but this will suffice for the time being.

E-Mini S&P

I chose this area for the fib retrace (in the event we may actually get a retrace) because the leg up was uninterrupted, except for one minor pullback. It would be wise to err on the side of caution until this situation is clarified.

SPX

TSX

The TSX ran into the Andrew's Pitchfork median line on Friday. Will we see a reversal here? It's too early to tell, and the trend appears healthy, though a pullback is long overdue.
